9. Region (Buenos Aires):

Because of the huge earthquake I didn't want to travel through Central Chile. The people had better things to do than looking after stupid tourists. But the detour via Argentina should also be worth it, so I expanded the detour quite a bit, and went via Buenos Aires to Puerto Iguacu! I had to make several long distance bus trips (mostly around 20 hours) for this detour, but the busses were very comfortable - therefore no problem!

Buenos Aires is a gorgeous town, I really liked it! I had to adapt a few days to the hustle and noise, after 3 quiet months in Patagonia! But I wanted to make a change in program for a couple of weeks anyway, visiting cities most of the time.
